In addition to writing, I’ve also recently launched my private life coaching practice.
I have been a mental health coach since July of 2020. I began online at SF-based start-up Cerebral, and moved to in-person work at a local eating disorder clinic in July of 2023. Between my two positions I have coached over three thousand people in all areas of their lives.
They say that a life coach needs to have a niche. If so, then my niche is likely those who might be having trouble with relationships, i.e. anybody who has ever lived on God’s green Earth! (I kid.) But the questions I do hear most often from clients are: How do I even begin to manage something that seems so out of my control? How do I stay true to my feelings and emotions but also not be defined by them? Or most significantly:
What can I do to stop hurting myself and the people I love the most?
By listening and asking thoughtful questions, I help clients nurture the authentic voices underneath the fear and shame that can rob all of us of our joy. We explore the arts together, read and discuss ideas new and old, and even manage to find levity in the process.
